Monthly Planting Calendar

The following planting calendar was adapted from the recommendations given by the University of Florida IFAS Extension. Keep in mind that these are only guidelines. You can still grow vegetables outside of their recommended dates, but if you do then you will not have ideal growing conditions, and your garden may be more work, and not as successful as a result. The weather varies from year to year, and can also vary among the different plant hardiness zones we have here in central Florida, but for most people the best growing times will still fall somewhere within the recommended time ranges.
